Heesen Yachts is pleased to announce the sale of YN 17755 (aka Project Alida).

The client, an experienced boater, was introduced to the shipyard by Barin Cardenas of The New Yachts Company, a boutique firm dedicated to new construction, based in Fort Lauderdale, who worked closely with Thom Conboy of Heesen Yachts USA.

Project Alida is a 55m Fast Displacement, steel-hulled motoryacht that combines efficiency, performance and elegance in a design package of 740GT.

Omega Architects created an exterior design that emphasises the indoor-outdoor connection thanks to glass insertions in the bulwarks and the floor-to-ceiling windows in the sky lounge.

Vertical windows on the main deck, together with an original „shark tooth“ design detail on the overhang of the wheelhouse, provide Project Alida with a bold and distinctive character.

The clean and muscular exterior lines without fashion plates and structural support have been cleverly engineered and perfectly executed by Heesen in-house experts, so nothing comes between the guests and the breathtaking views.

RADYCA, a Miami based design firm, is in charge of the interior styling while working closely with the shipyard to ensure that the client’s taste is incorporated into the space, creating a sophisticated, tailor-made and unique experience.

SIMPLICITY, WARMTH, and COMFORT through the use of select materials and a high level of craftsmanship, are the key ingredients in the creation of Alida’s refined interior. The overall design is for an owner who understands luxury, relaxation and entertainment while yachting.

Contrast is achieved by the consistent use of neutral hues found in open-grain white oak and different tones of wengé, taupe and grey leathers, wool carpets, and light textured suedes. White Arabescato and Grecale brown marble slabs emphasize the purity of the design.

Guests will be luxuriously accommodated in six staterooms: five guest cabins on the lower deck – including a full beam VIP – and the master suite traditionally located on the main deck forward.

With the tenders stored on the forward deck, a beach club is set into the lazarette that offers owners and guests a fantastic place to relax close to the water.

However, Project Alida’s beauty also extends below the waterline. Thanks to the progressive hull design devised by van Oossanen Naval Architects and implemented by Heesen in-house engineering team, Project Alida offers frugal fuel consumption coupled with a remarkable range of 4.500nm at 13 knots, while her top speed reaches 16 knots. At 12 knots her range becomes ever more impressive reaching 5.400 nm. Combining magnificent comfort with optimised efficiency throughout the speed spectrum, she sets a new standard in superyacht performance. Project Alida is a true blue-water vessel with Dutch pedigree.

Project Alida will undergo intensive sea trials in the North Sea prior to delivery to her new owners in time for cruising in July 2017.
