Yesterday Burgess announced their sales central agency for M/Y Cloud 9 which was delivered by Oceanco in 2015 with her first name INFINITY. The exterior of this 88,5m superyacht was designed by Espen Oeino, while Sinot Yacht Design and David Kleinberg took care of the interior. In 2019 Infinity visited the Baltic Sea together with her support vessel Intrepid, a 69m Support Yacht built by Damen. In 2022 Infinity was sold for the first time from her first owner Eric Schmidt. It is expected that Cloud 9 will remain available for charter, she is a charter yacht available from 1.000.000€/week + expenses.
Beginning of August 2022 it was finally time for superyacht Shimali to leave the Baltic Sea for the Med. After being delivered in the first months of this year, she only had a short maiden voyage after getting into trouble around Rügen, in Germany.
The yacht was transported back to Gdansk where Sunreef Yachts repaired Shimali, to present it the owner in perfect conditions. End of July they started with Sea Trials again. After completing these they sent her towards Kiel to pass Kiel Canal, where we had the chance to capture photos of this brand new superyacht.
Shimali is the first yacht of the Sunreef 100 Power yacht series, and will for sure turning heads where ever she goes. With a length of approx 30m and a width of 12m she stands out from the crowd!
She is expected to attend the yacht show summer in Cannes and Monaco, but this is yet to be confirmed.
End of June it was time for another milestone of Nobiskrugs latest superyacht project MIZA. 70m superyacht project 795 was towed from Lindenau Werft in Kiel to Rendsburg for final outfitting. Keel laying took place in 2019 at German Naval Yards and in 2020 she made her first miles to the drydock in Friedrichsort(Kiel).
Her timeless lines are drawn by Winch Design. MIZA will now stay in Rendsburg until her final outfitting is completed. We are expecting her delivery in the beginning of 2023.
In May we had the chance to join M/Y SKAT on sea trials after she completed her refit at Kusch Yachts in Wewelsfleth.
The 71m yacht has been sold prior her shipyard period and is now ready to sail the seven seas again. SKAT was built by Lürssen in 2002 with a military design drawn by Espen Oeino.
During her refit SKF Marine installed new stabilizers for smoother sailings and less rolling movements of the yacht.

Before being on board in Monaco during Monaco Yacht Show 2021, we’ve seen this yacht cruising around Sardinia, Italy.
Columbus Sport 50’s naval engineering was developed by Palumbo Superyachts in collaboration with the Hydro Tec studio, while the exterior and interior design is penned by Luca Dini Design & Architecture.
Featuring several new solutions designed to the specific request of its experienced Owner who is on his third project with Palumbo Superyachts, M/Y K2 accommodates 11 guests in five comfortable cabins and 11 crew members sharing seven cabins.

From the naval engineering and architecture point of view, the lines of Columbus Sport 50 M/Y K2 are characterized by a razor-sharp vertical bow, with double-edged cross sections to improve seaworthiness and keep the boat dry even in rough sea conditions.
The interior is clean, bright, harmonious and coherent. The layout has attractive outdoor spaces ideal for conviviality as they provide the flexibility of enjoying various daytime activities by easily transforming the sunpads into conversation seating sets or creating areas suitable for receiving guests. To maximise the versatility of each area, great attention was paid to shading solutions. On the two decks, bar and dining facilities are set up both indoor and outdoor. A comfortable entertaining area has been created in the upper deck, with a large TV screen, bar and a game table.
A swimming pool with Jacuzzi is located forward on the upper deck and can be reached from the cockpit through two large side walkways that turn the whole deck into a proper relaxation and entertainment area.
The fitness section in the owner’s area forward on the main deck, spreads over 18 square metres and is equipped like a functional gym designed in every detail and complete with a hammam in the owner’s bathroom.
The beach club, thanks also to the transformer platform with an approximately 4 square metre pop-up accessory automatically raising when the platform opens, offers a generous relaxation and entertainment area.
Zyricote and Tanganyika Frisè, two wood essences with an exotic and decò flair, the reflections of lacquer and steel details, together with the soft textures of leather and fabrics modulate the atmosphere of any environment on board. The cappuccino-coloured onyx and the white Lasa floor mat used in the bathrooms are also very impressive.
It is a precious interior, reserving pleasant surprises and welcoming with reassuring luxury.
Another aspect particularly well developed from a technical perspective was the reduction of noise and vibrations reaching extremely low noise levels in the guest rooms and especially significant because obtained at a value of 85% of the maximum power of the propulsion system, therefore at a speed slightly higher than 20 knots.
Powered by two 2000 HP MTU engines, M/Y K2 is able to reach a maximum speed of 21.5 knots, with a cruising speed of 17 knots and a wide range for transatlantic crossings. A multitouch dashboard, designed in collaboration with the Palumbo Superyachts team and the Captain of M/Y K2, was built on the concepts of safety and manoeuvrability, providing the captain with adaptability in any sea condition.
The boat is equipped with a tender and jet ski respectively positioned astern of the lower deck (3.31 metre Seadoo) and at the bow (Castoldi Jet tender 21 of 6.5 metres). The tender is launched and hauled through a side opening in the hull.

As we said in an earlier post. There are more pictures on hold and it’s time to publish some unique pictures of the Dutch superyacht DreAMBoat which was delivered in 2019 by Oceanco.
This 90m yacht features Espen Oeino exterior and Terence Disdale interior design. DreAMBoat offers enough space for 22 guest, including an owners cabin with children accommodation on the upper deck. A crew of 27 is serving you during the time onboard.
DreAMBoat was built on spec, which reduced her delivery time to only 18 months, which is awesome for a 90m yacht! Her hull is based on Oceanco’s 700 series and includeds many well known yachts, like DAR and Alfa Nero.

Artefact was built in 2020 at German shipyard Nobiskrug. She was first known as “Glass Yacht” due to her tremendous use of glass. With a length of 80m the yacht is listed in the top 200 largest private yachts of the world.
On an early morning in January 2021, Albula made her way through the locks in Kiel. She is the first superyacht which made this passage in 2021.
Albula was built in 2006 in Assens, Denmark at Royal Denship. The yacht returned to her home shipyard for a refit period. With a length of 64m she scratches at the top 200 largest private yachts in the world. Albula has a famous sister. Force Blue was recently sold in an auction to Bernie Eccelstone, previously the yacht was owned by Flavio Briatore, another Formula 1 official and friend of Eccelstone.
For 2021 we expect several yachts in the Baltic Sea and already looking forward to several new build yachts on sea trials.
Things you can do as a yacht photographer during quarantine: Examine your photographs of the last summer.
If you are stuck in quarantine and aren’t allowed to go out of your flat for two weeks. There are two options of how to deal with it. First one, relax on a couch and wait until these long 14 days are over. Or second option, try to do as much “office” work as possible from home. So instead of reclining on a couch with your TV on, it was time to look up our harddrives for some yet unshared new pictures. And there are several unique treasures which are about to be revealed here.
During MYS 2019 we’ve been extremely busy, catching up with some yacht industry friends, visiting yachts, doing sea trials in the bay, etc. There was a lot to do and many pictures had been taken during these couple of days. But it sadly wasn’t possible to process all these pictures. That’s why we still have many pictures in the pipeline.
Before you’re getting bored of our wailing we present you some pictures of Octopus. This recoginzable yacht has been listed for sale in early 2019 and was showcased in Monaco for the very first time. She was built in 2003 in Kiel for Paul Allen. Octopus is a true explorer yacht and was used a lot for expeditions and explorations. In 2015 her owner discovered the sunken battleship Musashi in the Sibuyan Sea. After Paul Allens death in October 2018 the yacht arrived in Hamburg for a refit. Since 2019 she is up for sale and ready to start sailing the world again with a new owner. On board are various tenders and toys stored, including two helicopters, a large submarine for up to 8 people and a 19m Vikal tender.

This stunning newbuild yacht was recently named Nord. She was built by Lürssen in Bremen. After some sea trials her owner went on a first voyage to the Baltic Sea. After visits in Eckernförde, Flensburg and the isle of Rügen. Nord returned to Kiel for a passage through the Kiel Canal. Many people turned heads while this 142m megayacht made her way to the locks in Kiel Holtenau. This morning she arrived in Bremen and will shortly be delivered. Design was drawn by Nuvolari – Lenard, while the project was managed by Moran Yachts.
Nord is the owners upgrade from his previous vessel Lady M which we had spotted five years ago in Sardinia, Italy.
